SDF4 is a stromal cell derived factor localised in the Golgi lumen of the cell and highly abundant in neuronal cells throughout the mouse brain. Apart from the nervous system, it is also widely expressed across many different tissues in both humans and rodents.
Strong intensity widespread and ubiquitous neuronal cytoplasmic somatic immunostaining is noticed virtually in all neurons in the entire brain. Also, subsets of glial cells are immunoreactive but further co-localization studies are needed to determine their exact type.
