Weak-moderate intensity diffuse/synaptic-type immunostaining is noticed throughout the entire brain. This staining is the most pronaunced in the glomerular- and external plexifrom layers of the olfactory bulb, the lateral septum, ventral pallidum, anterior hypothalamus, BNST nuclei, globus pallidus, entire tuberal hypothalamus, amygdala nuclei, piriform cortex, thalamic paraventricular nucleus, substantia nigra, periaqueductal gray matter, colliculus superior superficial layer and in the dorsal gray matter of the medulla around the 4th ventricle.
