Annotation summary	MAP1B is predominantly (but not exclusively) expressed in the brain, with a suggested important role in development and function of the nervous system. In the mouse brain, it is found in high levels in neurons, with particular emphasis in their dendritic and axonal processes. Accordingly, moderate/strong-intensity immunostaining of neuronal cell bodies and axonal/dendritic processes as well as moderate-intensity diffuse/synaptic staining pattern is noticed throughout the entire brain. Both RNA and protein data agree on a widespread distribution across the majority of brain areas.
